A very moving article! I grew up hearing the many stories my father and grandfather had from their time serving(both during war-time). My generation was raised to be proud of our country and what it was founded on.
I am often saddened when I listen to people today critisize our country and what are soldiers are doing to perserve our freedoms and ensure the same freedoms of many other nations! It is my hope that these same people will someday be acutely aware of just how they got their freedoms that they take so easily for granted. I also hope that they come to understand that these freedoms have come at a very high cost of too many to count. So many men and women have given their lives and their families have paid no small price either.
It is never far from my mind just how truly lucky I am that there have been so many willing to fight for my freedoms. I do not take that lightly! I have worried for my friends that have served in Irag, and other nations. Grateful does not begin to cover the depths of my emotions!
I was there when you had to lay your prescious Justin to rest. It was heartbreaking to watch! It was never more obvious that it is not only the soldiers who pay such a heavy price. The families of these so very brave men and women also pay the immposible price. Know that you do so with gratitude of many!
There are many of us that try to carry ourselves with pride for country and dignity. We owe it to all of you that have had to sacrifice. We also are determined to remind everyone just what our country was founded on and who we all serve. God was at the very foundation, and people would do well to remember that. With HIM all theings are possible.
I am often critisized for my convictions. I am told that I am "old school" and need to get with the times. My response is always the same. NO! I WILL NOT be moved, and my faith WILL NOT falter! I will continue to set an example for those around me. I will raise women of character and convictions. We will stand by both and continue to belive that it will make a difference for those around. We will not worry about being politically correct and hope that we will again have a person in leadership that does not apologize for our counrty.
Please know that it not just on veteran's day that my family thinks of all soldeirs and their families. Wether they are on home soil or that of foriegn ground, or have given their lives for us; our thoughts and prayers go out to you daily.
Blessings and many thanks!

Dear Dale,
My heart aches. Although I have only lost a father, it is great to know that our loved ones in Christ are enjoying His presence. Our Father will always do right for those that are His. God bless what He will do through You.
Luv ya man,
Don

Thank you Dale for allowing us a glimpse into your heart again. Only last night as I looked through some pictures did I learn of Justin's death. While my heart cries for your families loss - so great - I thank you for raising a son who was a hero. Thank you.

When did you move to this new ministry Dale. We still remember seeing you for the first time in many years at the sing in Clarkston.

We read your memorial on your dear son. When we heard of your loss we prayed for you and still are. God Bless your new ministry. We need some new cds of yours. Our liberty one is scratched. Where can we order more?
In Christ's service, Rev. Bud and Jo-Ann Savage

Dale, remembering Justin today and everyday. He was bigger than life and you're right, if you aren't laughing, or at least smiling, you probably didn't know him. May peace be with you and the entire Peterson family, especially over the next several days. As always, you remain in my thoughts and prayers.
